The investigation of the Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad is going on, but the American media has already started blaming the pilot. However, NTSB chairperson Jennifer Homendi has questioned these media reports.

The American National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has questioned media reports about the Air India plane crash.
Highlights
- 270 people died in the Ahmedabad plane crash.
- NTSB chairperson questioned media speculation.
- Homendi said- Investigation takes time, do not hurry
Questions about fuel cutoff switch
In fact, in the recently released preliminary investigation report by Aaib, it was revealed that there was confusion in the cockpit before the accident. The report has also raised questions about the position of the engine fuel cutoff switch, which stopped the fuel supply to the engine of the aircraft.
Boeing, GE silent silence
However, neither aircraft maker Boeing, nor GE Aerospace, Air India, DGCA and AAIB- have given official reactions to these points.
NTSB chair Jennifer Hamendi’s comment has come at a time when reports related to aviation accident and possible causes are being discussed in the media at the international level. Homendi’s appeal is clear… In sensitive cases like aircraft accidents, reporting should be done responsibly and the conclusions should not be drawn until the investigation is completely over.
In the investigation of this accident, the role of cockpit voice recorder and flight data recorder will be important, which will help in understanding the causes of the accident. It is clear from Homendi’s comment that the investigation is still in the initial stage, and it will take time to conclude.
