How is Habub made?
- Experts say that Hubub is mainly produced by thunderstorm (thunderstorm).
- When the cold winds from the clouds fall down at a speed of 80–129 km/h, they blow the dust, soil and loose sand on the ground and move it up.
- This dust keeps moving in front of the storm and gradually becomes like a wall of several kilometers.
- Sometimes rain and cold winds constantly cause new storms. This can pull Hubub and prolonged.
Where are Hububs made?
Hubub is also seen in American states like Nevada, New Mexico and Texas, not only Arizona. NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) says that 1 to 3 big hububs are formed every year in Phoenix area. Interestingly, Hubub’s name comes from Arabic language. Such dust storms are common in the deserts of Arab countries. It was called “Hubub”.

- Scientists say that Climate Change has further intensified incidents like Habob.
- Since 1970, localized rains and stormy winds have become faster during the monsoon in the American Southwest region.
- On the other hand, the land is becoming more barren due to long drought. This makes the dust fly easily.
This means that dust storms can be even more powerful in future. However, experts believe that it is difficult to say how many times they will come.
- National Weather Service warns drivers and common people to be vigilant during Hubub.
- Stop the vehicles on the road immediately and turn off the lights.
- Do not follow the taillights of other vehicles, otherwise the possibility of accidents increases.
- If you are indoors, then keep the windows and door closed so that the dust does not come in.
- Airport authorities also temporarily stop flights during Hubub.
Experts say that the view of Hubub may look attractive. But this road can become a major cause of accidents and health emergency.
